Half Siren Vintage Logo

In 2026, my dear friend finally started a vintage reselling company. She has been collecting and curating clothing her whole life, so I wanted to create a logo for her that encapsulated her love of vintage.

Going off of one reference image given to me by my client, I went off and scoured my lettering resources to find the perfect font to match her focal image, the mermaid in the moon. I landed on a whimsical font out of my 20th century Speedball textbook. I confirmed the sketch with my client, then set out on carving the design.

Upon its completion, I gave my client a physical copy of the design as well as a digital version and a transparent PNG. I also created an Instagram reel showcasing her products with the design overlayed on top.

One of my first mail club subscribers reached out to me via Instagram DM, requesting a pet portrait of her beloved dog Hashbrown. I was delighted to illustrate this adorable little guy for my client.

After being provided ample reference photos, I sent my client sketches of her dog, as well as explain my idea for the composition and framing. Once I received approval, I spent roughly two weeks working on this mixed media portrait. Many layers of acrylic gouache were slowly added to the canvas board, and finished off with colored pencils and waters soluble pastels.

When finished, I checked with my client to see if any changes were requested, and once I knew they were happy, I sent the painting off to its new home. As you can see, Hashbrown seems to enjoy his likeness.

After creating shirts for Rachael Jenkins album release show in late 2025, She reached back out in 2026 to help design a sticker for their show at Kilby Block Party music festival in Salt Lake City, Utah.

I received creative control from my client, so I approached the sketch process quite openly, ending up on 3 designs for my client to choose from.

I ended up creating a gouache and colored pencil quilt inspired design reading “I’m having a great time at KBP” referencing Jenkins’ song “Body”.

In the fall of 2024, I created a logo design for a college radio station looking to take things to the next level.

In constant communication with my clients, I sketched out multiple designs in my sketchbook, hoping to encapsulate all of their ideas. Once my brainstorming was complete, I took to Procreate to digitally render my designs before sending them to my clients. That way my clients are able to have opinions on the design before I start carving anything into linoleum.

Once completed, my clients at Great Taste Radio received digital scans of the design (including a transparent PNG) as well as physical prints of the piece. Upon request, I am able to print the design onto clothing.
